Schools celebrate another great year

23 JULY 2025

Children, young people, and teams across WG have been enthusiastically celebrating the end of another remarkable school year. From summer festivals to graduation ceremonies, there has been an array of activities to celebrate.

Our Chilworth House School was filled with pride and celebration as pupils marked a major milestone, graduation day. Through their partnership with the Children’s University, during the year, pupils took part in enrichment activities like martial arts, cooking, animal care and more, building life skills, exploring careers, and earning credits towards their graduation at Oxford Brookes University. This day marked not just the end of term, but the start of bright futures.

Chilworth House Upper School’s Awards Evening was a joyful celebration of progress, achievement, and pride. Pupils stepped into the spotlight to receive their well-deserved awards, each one a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the amazing personal growth the team has witnessed over the year.

Hartwell School celebrated a magical milestone as Year 11 pupils came together for their prom. It was another celebration of resilience, friendship and achievement, marking the incredible journeys the young people have taken. Congratulations to the Class of 2025, we can’t wait to see what you do next.

Hall Cliffe School’s annual Summer Fair was a huge success, bringing together pupils, the team and families for a day of celebration. The school grounds were transformed into a hub of games and delicious food, where pupils helped run stalls, welcome visitors, and make the day shine with their energy and enthusiasm.

Finally, Lakeside School held their first Lakefest to celebrate a fantastic school year, including the publication of its Outstanding Ofsted report in September.  With the help of the School Council, the day was planned from start to finish, celebrating community, creativity, and joy. They enjoyed a variety of activities, including zorb football, dodgeball and a bouncy assault course, axe-throwing, lawn games and a giant slip-and-slide, face painting, tattoos, worry stone making, a water fight and a surprise visit from the ice cream van.
