✔️Suggestions for positive conversations with school, helping families share concerns, recognise strengths and agree helpful adjustments clearly

About our speaker

Amanda Hornby

Amanda Hornby is a passionate advocate for inclusive education and neurodiversity awareness, with extensive experience in the education sector since 2009. She specialises in supporting secondary-aged students with special educational needs and is committed to helping individuals, families, and professionals create more inclusive environments.

Amanda studied at Middlesex University and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). She is a qualified Specialist Dyslexia Tutor with a current practising certificate in dyslexia assessment and is also certified to carry out Visual Stress Screening.

As a Specialist Dyslexia Trainer with the British Dyslexia Association, Amanda designs and delivers bespoke dyslexia awareness training, both virtually and in person, for schools and organisations across the UK and internationally.

Amanda’s mission is to help normalise neurodiversity in all walks of life, championing acceptance, accessibility, and the belief that every mind deserves the opportunity to thrive.
