The Great Central Railway trip
Pupils from Acorn Class at Dovetree School recently explored their local area, visiting the Great Central Railway in Rugby.
Rugby Central was a railway station serving Rugby on the former Great Central Main Line, which opened in 1899 and closed in 1969. It is now a wildlife corridor, and the local community have been working to restore and entice people to visit.
The visit was thoroughly enjoyed by the explorers, who enjoyed discovering the surroundings and wildlife while admiring the colourful artwork and old architecture.
