Me@WG is not just our in-house staff intranet and the place to find out the latest news and chatter from across our Group. It is also home to our amazing staff discount platform and wellbeing centre. We promise you that you won’t be disappointed when it comes to either the savings and special offers you can benefit from across hundreds of retailers, or at the same time the fantastic programmes, advice and information you can access that is all aimed at supporting you and your family to live healthily and happily.
Every employee is automatically enrolled into our Medicash Healthcare plan. It means that the cost of lots of health treatments, from dentist check-ups and physio sessions to specialist consultations, are either fully or partly covered. It gives you access to one to one advice and support, and even has additional discount offers and savings included too. It is all about making sure that you and your family have quick and easy access to help and advice when you need it most.
We hope you really enjoy working as part of our Group, but we also understand that life is about what you do outside of work too. That’s why we want to make sure that when you’re looking for that next day out, either with friends or family, you are able to access some amazing deals and offers. Theme park? Water park? Museum? Therapeutic support is at the core of all we do for our young people, so we also place huge value on this when supporting our staff. You will have access to a wide range of assistance, if and when you need it, such as unlimited 24/7 telephone counselling support and also face-to-face sessions.

We are able to offer all members of staff the opportunity to lease a brand new car. This benefit, in partnership with Novalease, allows you to pay through a payroll deduction which will provide additional Tax and/or NI savings. This is also known as salary sacrifice. For peace of mind for you and your loved ones, our life insurance through Canada Life is available for all eligible employees who are not enrolled in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme*. This means that if you die while employed by Witherslack Group, you’re a lump sum with be paid to your nominated beneficiary.
*For employees who are part of the Teachers Pension Schemes, life insurance comes as part of the scheme.
Witherslack Group’s workplace pension is for you and your future. All eligible new starters will be automatically enrolled into our workplace pension scheme, which is operated on a salary exchange basis with Scottish Widows. We also offer the Teachers’ Pension Scheme to eligible candidates.
