About our speaker
Corrina Lunn
Speech and Language Therapist
I am a Speech and Language Therapist working for the Witherslack Group across Meadow View Learning Centre and Cumberland School, where I provide specialist communication support to children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other complex developmental and behavioural presentations. My role involves conducting communication assessments, delivering individual and group therapeutic interventions, and working closely with staff teams, families, and multi-disciplinary professionals to create tailored support plans that promote the development of language and social skills.
I have been a Speech and Language Therapist for 25 years and have worked with many neurodiverse children and their families. I have been working for the Witherslack Group for 5 years, and recent interventions have included a neurodiversity-affirming group, where we help children understand how they experience the world and advocate for themselves. I have also delivered a classroom-based intervention to help children understand time concepts, and a functional communication skills group. As a Speech and Language Therapist, my aim is to ensure that our young people understand what is said to them, are able to express themselves and form new relationships.
