Cricket guests bowled over by students’ delivery
Students from Pontville School 16-19 Centre showed great skill and attention to detail as they took on the role of waiters and waitresses for a sportsman’s dinner at Ormskirk Cricket Club.
Serving guests, including David Gower OBE, cricket commentator and former cricketer who was captain of the England team, they thrived in the fast-paced catering environment, serving more than 100 guests.
Head Teacher Justine Sims proudly commented:
“Student Sean was responsible for helping the head chef and did a fantastic job getting all the food ready on time, while Issy and Charlotte had to keep a calm composure and steady hands to serve the guests. Between courses, the girls also had to clear all the plates. They were extremely tired at the end of this event but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”
The event Is the most important function for the catering company, Square Leg Catering, and in an email to Justine, their Chef Manager, Becky, described the students as ‘exceptional.’
Feedback doesn’t get better than this. Well done, team!
