Pontville School Blog 173: Mathmatical challenge accepted
Pupils from Pontville School recently got involved in a math escape room experience to crack their mathematical challenges for World Math's Day.
Teacher, Kate Woods shares more detail:
"I felt the concept of an escape room would be a fantastic opportunity to add elements of fun and teamwork to the learning experience, helping pupils solve mathematical challenges and develop their problem-solving with critical thinking. It also enabled them to apply their knowledge in a practical and interactive way."
She continued:
"Olive Class 3 really enjoyed the session, it was great to see them interacting as a team and communicating to unlock the codes and escape."
Pupils from Maple Class 3 commented:
"Interesting and fun"
"Helps to be more aware and help problem solving"
The day was a huge success, creating a positive and memorable learning experience.
