Volleyball mastered by pupils
Pupils studying BTEC PE from Chilworth House Upper School recently visited a local park to play a spot of volleyball with Andy Hemming, their newly qualified PE Teacher, who has been at the school for more than eight years.
New to the sport, the sporting enthusiasts took on the challenge of mastering the sport with gusto as they learnt new techniques and skills. They also showed great enthusiasm and readily shared their newfound skills and knowledge with one another so that they were all able to enjoy the experience together as a team.
"It was great to see the pupils taking on a new challenge and be involved in a sport they wouldn’t necessarily have had the opportunity to experience. Some are now keen to return once the weather is nice again."
They certainly look like they have mastered the skills.
