Oversands School

We provide our pupils with a positive and happy place to live, learn, work and develop.

Now I can stand up in assembly and talk to the whole school - I couldn't have done that to save my life before I came here!

Message from the Head Teacher

Oversands School offers a unique environment of high quality education, nurture and care to young people who have primarily complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. We have a comprehensive programme of Special Educational Needs (SEN) support which ensures that individual needs are met to maximise progress of our young people.

We are privileged to benefit from fantastic grounds within a truly stunning rural location. These contribute to making Oversands School a positive and happy place in which to live, work and learn. We make full use of the environment through a creatively designed curriculum and extended activity which offer all of our young people the opportunity to experience success.

I am extremely proud of our young people and the highly skilled staff who work with them. I expect high standards from the staff and they never disappoint. Many young people make us so proud when they write or phone years after they have left to tell us of the success they have made of their lives and careers.

If there is anything else you would like to know please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We also love showing off our work and would be happy for interested parents, young people and professionals to visit, by prior arrangement.
