About Pontville School

Pontville School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in Ormskirk, the school is regarded by many as the first choice for speech, language and social communication in the UK.

A big warm welcome to our website

We believe that every pupil is capable, valued, and deserving of the best school experience.

We keep our class sizes intentionally small and maintain a high staff-to-pupil ratio to ensure every learner receives the support, attention, and encouragement they need to thrive.

Our children and young people consistently excel during their time with us, with older students achieving a range of impressive qualifications each year. To ensure that each pupil feels ready for their next steps, we offer on-site therapies and a rich array of enrichment, personal development, and outdoor learning opportunities.

We are also committed to working closely with parents and professionals to support our pupils’ best interests. By promoting open, ongoing communication and collaboration, we work together to create a consistent support system that empowers pupils both at school and at home. This approach allows us to share insights, celebrate achievements, and address any challenges swiftly and effectively, always with the goal of helping each pupil thrive.
