Therapy: Working in Partnership

Witherslack Care & Education Initiatives is committed to working in partnership with young people, parents and local authorities in order to best meet the needs of our service users.

We believe that residential care has an important role in working to keep families together and maintaining contact between family members. Our Homes are designed to be spacious and provide private meeting areas for visitors, if appropriate.

Witherslck Care Partnership

Our Homes are welcoming, visitors are supplied with refreshments and made to feel comfortable. Every effort is made to establish positive working relationships with all involved parties. We know from experience and current guidance that if residential care is to be most effective the concept of partnership must be evident throughout our working practices.

Where young people are placed some distance from their families Witherslack Care & Education Initiatives may be able to provide support and transport to ensure that contact with families is maintained. This service will be discussed as part of the LAC reviewing system and will be decided on an individual basis.
