Who will look after me?
At Lakeside School the Head Teacher of the school makes sure all of the staff look after you properly and keep you safe and well. In your class there will be a Class Teacher and a Special Support Assistant, both of whom will make sure that you receive the support you need to complete your work and to achieve success.
What do I do if I don’t feel well?
If you don’t feel well whilst in school, tell a member of staff who will try their best to make you feel more comfortable. It may be that if you are very unwell, you will need to go home early and our staff will arrange for this to happen wherever possible.
What if something happens that I am not happy with?
Within Lakeside School it is ok to make a complaint if you are not happy with something and the staff will try their best to make things better for you.
How do I get to school?
A taxi/minibus will collect you from your home and take you to school and bring you home afterwards. There will be a taxi driver and an escort in the vehicle with you.
Who decides what I eat at lunch times?
Before you start at Lakeside School we provide you with a school menu and ask you to tick all of the foods that you like. We provide a choice of a hot meal or a selection of sandwiches every day and provide you with extra salad choices and fruit.
What activities are there at break times?
During Breakfast Club children can play Chess in our Chess Club, read, draw or play with construction toys, participate in our High-Low Club (doing gentle exercises and balancing activities), or can just chat with friends. At break times, children can choose to play on the bikes and scooters, can have fun on the Adventure Playground or can play football on the football pitch. We also have several clubs that children can take part in, including Arts & Crafts Club, Science Club, Fit Club, Football Club and Dance Club.
