Induction Training
Effective induction of staff is recognised as a key component in providing safe care and of establishing a competent workforce. The purpose of a good induction process is to ensure that staff become as effective as possible as quickly as possible in their role. The Skills for Care Standards were introduced in the spring of 2001 to provide a benchmark for the induction of all social care staff. JBE Training and Development has used the standards as a minimum benchmark so that managers/Head Teachers can be confident that their staff have had a solid foundation of continuing professional development upon which to progress their career.
"Can I just say that I have taken part in many training sessions in my 9 years experience but in all my years JBEs training methods have been the only thing that has made an impact on my development. I have never listened so long in my life and more importantly wanted to listen. The way that the training was presented and the course content gives you a thirst to want to know more"

Creating Compelling Learning
The Creating Compelling Learning CPD Programme comes in two parts; Personal Effectiveness and Advanced Delivery Skills. The programme is designed to compliment the existing knowledge and skills provided in educational training to promote excellence and best practice. The programme can be delivered as a full day, two half-day or two twighlight training sessions.
Health & Social Care Toolkits
"For the cost of the individual Toolkits I believe we are able to offer training that will save us thousands of pounds... and we can guarentee the quality of training that our staff will receive".
We have designed a selection of training resource toolkits that can be purchased to assist you with your CPD training needs.
These toolkits have been designed as a user friendly presentation workshop package for Managers, Heads of Care, T&D Officers and NVQ tutors and assessors.
They provide the underpinning knowledge requirements for the ‘Health & Social Care Children & Young People Level 3 & 4' awards and are also valuable as an induction tool for new staff in residential and day childcare provision.
There are 4 toolkits:
- Child Development
- Health & Safety in a Child Care Setting
- Meeting an Individual's Needs
- Values and Principles
The packages consist of a Tutor Handbook with detailed explanations of course content, comprehensive candidate manual, PowerPoint presentation with tutor notes and workshop activities. They also includes a selection of preset questions and assignments for assessors to issue to NVQ candidates.
The toolkit is presented in a glossy, easy to follow format that has been designed so managers can literally 'pull off the shelf' and deliver with minimum preparation. All materials are included on an accompanying CD and allow for individual company logos to be inserted.
On completion of the workshop, tutors are provided with workshop certificates to issue to candidates, which cross reference directly to Level 3 & 4 Core and selected units and can be used in portfolios.
"The comprehensive tutor notes are clear and easily understood."
