Our range of courses include extensive staff induction, ILM leadership and Management, ILM Coaching and Mentoring and CPD programmes for a range of educational and care environments. JBE Care & Education Induction

Effective induction of staff is recognised as a key component in providing safe care and development of a competent workforce. The purpose of a good induction process is to ensure that staff become as effective as possible as quickly as possible in their role. The Skills for Care standards were introduced in the Spring of 2001 to provide a benchmark for the induction of all social care staff. JBE Training and Development has used the standards as a minimum benchmark so that Managers/Head Teachers can be confident that their staff have had a solid foundation of continuing professional development upon which to progress their career.

JBE Training and Development deliver a comprehensive induction package designed to meet all education and care standards whilst offering further opportunities for professional development, providing employers with the assurance that staff are equipped and safe in their roles from day one. This induction is delivered either as individual courses or as a tailored induction suite.

Induction Packages can contain the following components: -
• Fire Awareness (Including extinguisher training)
• Responsible Person (Fire) Training
• Fire Warden Course
• Basic First Aid
• Health and Safety in a Care Environment
• Health, Safety and Risk Assessment
• CIEH Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
• Safeguarding Children – Incorporating strategies for the protection of children
• Child Development
• Principles of Care
• Team-Teach Training – De-escalation and positive handling strategies
• Managing Adolescent Self Harming and Suicidal Behaviour
• NVQ L3 & L4 Health and Social Care for Children & Young People

New employees often have gaps in their knowledge and skills, which will need to be identified and addressed. If their training and development needs are taken into account and they are well supported with clear information they will quickly get ‘up to speed’ and begin to make a real contribution to the organisation.
