JBE Training and Development deliver a complete suite of Leadership & Management development programmes via its accredited Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Centre. The ILM is the largest specialist institute for management development qualifications in the UK and accounts for well over half of all qualification-based management training undertaken in the UK at all levels.

The ILM is unique among professional bodies, being dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs of Team Leaders, Managers and Leaders across all disciplines; it offers a dynamic career development programme for every manager at every career stage. The ILM not only offers guidance for future career development through nationally recognised qualifications that fit in with the national qualifications framework, it is also active in representing the interests of managers and leaders to key government panels, professional organisations and national bodies.

Within the management programmes delegates can select units from an extensive list of 35 one-day programmes to meet individual and organisational development needs. Once enough credits have been achieved, they can be transferred to Award or Certificate qualifications at Level 2 or Award, Certificate or Diploma qualifications at Level 3.

JBE Training and Development also deliver an ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership; this programme has been designed for middle managers. The Award in Leadership at Level 5 is a short qualification exploring leadership roles and theories, self-leadership, emotional intelligence, winning and maintaining commitment, setting and communicating direction. It is particularly useful for middle managers who lack the opportunity to engage actively in leadership but who are preparing to do so, or for managers employed in a leadership role who are keen to underpin their practice with a clearer knowledge of the principles of leadership. The Certificate in Leadership at Level 5 expands on the Award with a second unit focusing on the 'leadership journey' - a progressive programme using action learning plus a reflective log to develop leadership skills in the workplace. This qualification is designed for middle managers, particularly those preparing to move into a more senior leadership role, who are required to lead larger groups of people to achieve organisational goals.
