“Students benefit from very small class sizes, in the amount of individual attention they receive, and in being able to demonstrate what they know and what they can do.” Ofsted
Young people who have had problems with school attendance or who have found it difficult to cope in mainstream schools, receive the necessary support and encouragement to attend school regularly.

The school offers a diverse range of activities, which include sailing, music lessons, fell-walking, college link days and charity fund raising events.
The Staff
As a staff team with a wealth of experience and qualifications and the input from our own educational psychologist, councillor, speech and language and occupational therapist we are able to provide comprehensive individual programmes which run alongside class teaching to help our pupils.
The class sizes remain small with no more than 8 pupils in each , we also have a ‘nurture’ group of 4 students and some pupils receive extra 1-1 or small group work based on their needs which could be academic based or for social skills.
Accomodation
The school is ideally located in Bamber Bridge, at the junctions of the M6, M61 and the M65.
The main part of the school is a Grade II listed building, whilst the new classroom areas are modern, bright, air-conditioned and well-equipped.
There is continual use of information and communication technology across the curriculum, with the latest specification computers and interactive whiteboards in many of the classrooms.
