Chilworth House School Vacancies
Chilworth House School and Chilworth House Upper School are part of the Witherslack Group, a well-established independent group of residential/day special schools and children’s homes. Both are very successful co-educational day special schools catering for pupils who exhibit a combination of complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. We wish to appoint for the following posts, to start asap:
Chilworth House School
PRIMARY CLASS TEACHER
MPS + 1/2 SEN points - Temporary until July 2012
You must have good classroom management skills for this mixed ability KS1/2 class of pupils who have a range of special educational needs. SEN experience would be preferred, but is not essential.
PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANTS
£13,189 - £16,830 + £1,177 SSA
You will support pupils with special educational needs in a primary class. One position will be permanent, two are available until July 2012.
PASTORAL CARE MANAGER
£23,708 - £27,849
In this Senior Leadership role, you will be responsible for the pastoral care needs of the primary aged pupils in the school. You should have considerable experience in a school or a care-based setting and experience of working with children with communication difficulties and/or BESD. Experience of managing staff and communicating effectively with families and a range of agencies is also required.
PASTORAL CARE ASSISTANT
£13,874 - £16,054
You will assist in creating a purposeful, caring, learning environment for children by the application of high professional standards of pastoral care and support for children’s emotional and/or behavioural needs, and learning difficulties.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
£13,189 - £15,444 pro rata, 20 hours per week
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced person to support the day-to-day running of the busy school office, under the direction of the school Administrator. You should possess strong IT/keyboardskills, good numeracy skills and be confident in the use of Microsoft Office. Duties include providing administrative support to the whole school, filing and recording of data, answering the telephone, reception duties and stock control of consumables. A flexible attitude, cheerful disposition and good communication skills are essential.
