A team of six Cedar House pupils competed in the Lakes and Dales Sixes competition in May this year.  Although they were knocked out on goal difference in the final round, they all enjoyed a good day out in fine weather.

Cedar House emerged victorious in the 2009 Cooper Shield football competition held on a hot day at Witherslack Hall School.  A squad of eight players survived the group stage, then won their semi final 5-4 on penalties. A single goal scored in extra time decided the final against a Witherslack Hall team.  As this year’s winners Cedar House will host the competition next year.

A team of four keen anglers competed in the 2009 Williams Shield competition in June.  Although they found little success on the day, they were able to enjoy a day by the water.

The Moorbrook Athletics Meet was held once again in Preston,  at the end of June.  A team of eight athletes from Cedar House competed in a range of track and field events including high jump, shot put, long jump, javelin, discus, and 100 metre relay.  Cedar House were placed third in the points table and received medals to commemorate their success.
